Statement of Faith
- The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. God and His Word are one. (2 Timothy 3:16, John 1:1, 14)
- There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, John 14:26)
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1: 1-5; 20:28; Colossians 1:15-17; Matthew 1:22, 23; 3:16, 17; II Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:25; Matthew 28: 5-7; Corinthians 15:3-8; Acts 1:9-11; 2:32-33; Romans 8:34; Ephesians 4:8-10; Hebrews 1:2-3; I Thessalonians. 4:16-18)
- There is a blessed hope of the personal, visible, future return of Jesus to this earth to receive to Himself His blood-bought Church that it may be with Him forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
- We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. Salvation is by faith alone through grace alone. Both justification and sanctification are the works of the Holy Spirit in those who trust in Jesus. (John 3:5, 6; Titus 3:5, 6; Ephesians 2:8; Galatians 3:2-3; I Peter 1:2)
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—of those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and of those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28, 29; I Corinthians 15:20-23; Revelation 20:11-15)
- The ordinance of baptism by immersion in water should be administered to all those who have repented of their sin and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:16)
- The ordinances of the Lord’s Supper should be observed regularly as enjoined by the Scriptures. (Luke 22:17-21, 1 Corinthians 11:24-25)
- The baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, is an experience subsequent to salvation that equips the believer for effective service and is given to believers who ask for it.
- We believe in the present day manifestation of all the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church. (John 1:33; 20:21-23; Acts 1:8; 2:4; 4:31; 8:17; 10:44-46; 19:3-6; Romans 12:6-8; I Corinthians 12:13, 27-31; 14:1-40; Ephesians 5:18)
- The redemptive work of Christ on the cross includes healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. Divine healing is for all. (1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-5)
- We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Psalm 139)
- The blood and the name of Jesus sets the captive free. (1 Peter 1:18-19)
- God desires the prosperity of His children. (2 Corinthians 9:8, Psalm 1:3, Joshua 1:8, Matthew 6:33)
- Glorifying God with our lives (worship) is the believer’s greatest privilege and calling. (Romans 11:36 – Romans 12:1)
- Personal witnessing is the believer’s responsibility. (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20)
